Finance Manager

Permanent, Full Time: 37 hours per week working all year round

Starting: 2nd October 2017

Salary: L1 to L5 - £38,983 to £43,023 (starting at L1 rising incrementally to L5)


The Cabot Learning Federation is a Multi Academy Trust serving 15 schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas. We are responsible and accountable for the education of 8,000 students between the ages of 3 and 19 and for the employment and support of over 1,600 staff.  The CLF currently sponsors 7 secondary academies, 6 primary academies, an all-through academy and a studio school.


We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as Finance Manager to work within the central finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding levels of financial business partnering support to one of the three clusters that make up the CLF. You will support with budget setting and management accounts production across the cluster, providing high levels of support and challenge to the CLF academies.


You will be:


  • A qualified accountant with financial performance management experience
  • A quick learner with strong analytical skills
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team


Educational experience is desirable but not essential. More importantly, computer literacy is a must, as are a flexible approach to work, great attention to detail, and the ability to work well within tight deadlines.
